A Day of Calm in Kansas City North, MO

I awoke late in the day that morning. It was about noon or so, maybe even going on 1pm. I wasn’t in the mood to socialize or explore anymore so I sat in my room for a while writing. Around 4 I realized I should check in at the library and see what’s going on.

On the way up I ran into the same guy I’d met before. He stopped and asked what had happened to my pack. I gave him the spiel and talked with him for a bit. When he left that reminded me of Danielle so I gave her a call seeing if she wanted to hang out that night so we could meet, but I got her voicemail again. No dad message this time. I got to he library an hour before it closed so I didn’t bother posting and just looked over emails.

I walked back and talked with my friend Allyson from high school about her upcoming wedding this October. The conversation lasted the whole walk home and went its usual course that it goes when we get talking hitting such topics as whether or not there are really seven seas or more. It turns out there are thirteen.

I gave Leslie a call as well to see what they were up to and to apologize for being in a funk the night before, but got her voice mail too. Later in the evening I returned to Waffle House with my notebook and wrote for a bit watching the folks there interact. At night I retired to the tube still at my notebook and fell asleep in a calm of relaxation.

On to the next day-->
